Andover won it’s first meet of the new year at home, defeating Choate Rosemary Hall 55-24. It was our Senior Day celebration, and we celebrated 16 members of the class of 2026. The dual meet started off at 126 with Brady Haskell ’28, who won a 13-5 major decision for Big Blue and put 4 team points up on the board. Unfortunately we lost the next three matches, before co-captain James Bae ’26 pinned in the first period to start closing the gap. Sean Flynn ’27 followed up with a pin of his own, and Shock Ingram ’26 won an exciting 4-2 decision to put Andover comfortably in the lead. Serra Akyali ’28 and Devin Akyali ’29 finished the dual with quick pins, cementing Andover’s victory 55-24.

We followed the dual with ten exhibition matches. Tasha Bohorad ’26, Bella Shmuylovich ’26, Kierra Ong ’29, Melissa de Souza ’28, Ophelia Lee ’26, Margaret Tsien ’26, and Julian Rios ’26 all pinned their opponents in their exhibition matches.
