Captains led the way against a tough Exeter team
Andover went 1-1 today for our Senior Day. Andover’s captains led the way in our dual meet against Exeter with two solid wins against very good opponents. Co-captain Arnav Bhakta was winning his match 9-1 when he finally stuck his opponent with 5 seconds left in the match, earning 6 team points for Andover. Co-captain Colin Nugent ’23 won a strong 8-0 major decision, wrestling his best match of the season so far. Sakina Cotton ’24 opened the dual meet with a strong second period pin against her Exeter opponent, and Adrian Morrison ’23 won his match 6-2. Unfortunately these efforts weren’t enough to secure the team victory for Andover, and we fell 31-43.
