Andover opens racing season against Belmont Hill, Middlesex, and Rivers.
Andover placed 2nd in the boys race behind Belmont Hill. The top finisher for Andover in the 5k race was Sebastian Vermut ’27, followed by Ansel Bartell ’28, Matt Robinson ‘27 and Henry Wall ’27. Elliot Chai '28, Nathan Chun '28 and Matthew Wei '28 rounded out the Andover finishers. In the 2.5km beginners race, Gavin Freeman ’26 won and Hugo Shea ’27, Alfonso Gonzalez- Cano ’27, and Daniel Liu ’28 all raced in their first Nordic race.
Down two of the top returners due to injury, Andover placed 3rd in the girls race behind Middlesex and Rivers. The top finishers for Andover in the 5k race were Julia Xu ’28 who had an excellent race into 5th place followed by Hannah Jung ’28, Iris Liu ’26, and Claire Bancroft '28. In the 2.5km beginners race, Celine Lee ’28 took second and L Young ’27, Rianna Bajaj ’29, Kate Birdsall ’26, and Maxie Wu ’28 all raced in their first race.
