Andover Boys Run to Four Wins at NMH
BXC traveled to the beautiful NMH campus to take on Deerfield, Exeter, Choate, and the host team and came away with wins against each.
Tam Gavenas ('25) moved through the difficult NMH course with progressing speed to take first overall in the Varsity race. He was followed by Max Huang ('24), who continued his searingly good racing with a second place finish. Battling Exeter and Deerfield runners all race, Jakob Kuelps ('25) and Luke Williamson ('25) closed hard to finish inside the top ten overall. Sebastian Lemberger ('25) surged in the last 1000m to secure twelfth place while Robert Budzinski ('26) fought through the tough course to finish just outside the top fifteen. Luke Francis ('25) might have had the kick of the day--perhaps fueled by an inspiring win in the annual "Perfect Pace" Contest on Wednesday--as he flew through the line ahead of some very strong rival runners.
On the JV side, Andover had its top four in a strong pack: Charlie Gillick ('27), Emmet McEvilley ('24), Magnus Julin ('25), and Vance Fabrizio ('24). Nathan Neu ('26) followed closely behind that pack while Sami Tokat ('26) and Henry Zimmerman ('27) closed incredibly well to round out Andover's JV seven. Among other notable performances, Jack Gonzalez ('27), Adrian Werner ('25), and Oliver Sommer ('24) defied all the odds to register PRs on NMH's difficult course.

Next weekend, BXC will be at home for the annual Andover-Exeter dual meet, which always brings out some excellent racing from both teams.
