BXC Races Hard But Falls to Exeter
BXC traveled north to Exeter for the annual Andover-Exeter dual meet on a spectacular autumn afternoon in New Hampshire.
Starting the day with a classic 7 v. 7 Varsity race, BXC raced well on Exeter's home course. Pacing Andover and taking the individual win, Arashi Hunter ('25) continued his excellent running with another strong performance. Next in for Andover, the pair of Luke Williamson ('25) and Arun Kapoor ('25) ran very well to push each other throughout the course. Robert Budzinski ('26) was also in the mix, getting ahead of some strong Exeter runners. And Luke Francis ('25) and Henry Zimmerman ('27) worked as a pair to finish well for PAXC. After great running from both teams, Exeter prevailed, 22-35.
The JV race proved, once again, to be incredibly competitive as both teams pride themselves on their depth. Leading the way for Andover, Magnus Julin ('25) and Jakob Kuelps ('25) worked together across the course to finish 2nd and 3rd overall. Sami Tokat ('26) was locked in throughout the 3.1 miles and took 4th overall in a great performance, and Nathan Neu ('26) held off a great push from several Exeter runners in the final 800m to take 5th overall. Elliot Weir ('26) stayed strong down the stretch to finish inside the top ten for PA. After the dust settled in this great competition, PAXC emerged as the winner, 24-31.
PAXC travels to Hotchkiss next weekend to compete in the NEPSTA Division I cross country championship.
