Andover met a strong Worchester team under the lights in front of an energetic crowd. Andover took the lead into the first half from a goal by Mark Nelson. Worchester equalized from the penalty spot and then took the lead from a quick counter attack.

Andover had more opportunities in the second half to equalize only to see the Worcester goalie deny them all. Andover was awarded awarded a penalty to tie the match - but again the Worcester goalie was up to the task and made a heroic save.

“This was a playoff level match against a power house team- it was a tough break in the saved penalty - a draw was a more fair result - but thats football- it happens. I am proud of how hard the lads worked for each other today” - coach Donnelly

Andover meets defending class B New England champions KUA on Saturday at 6pm.
