Tough Battle vs Worcester Academy

Andover, Mass - The Andover soccer team hosted the defending champions, the Worcester Academy Rams, in a closely contested match. Andover came out strong in the first half with a clear game plan. For the majority of the game, the home team enjoyed ball possession but struggled to generate offense due to the impressive discipline of the Worcester defense. The Rams scored their first goal after a scramble left the ball just outside the 18-yard box, allowing a visiting player to hit a low shot that goalkeeper Jack Alexander could not get to due to the muddy field conditions.

Going into the second half, Andover was determined to even the score, but the visitors remained resolute defensively throughout the game. Andover's Ollie Buckhoff came close to tying the game, but his shot hit the crossbar. Despite Andover's relentless push for an equalizer, Worcester countered and scored a second goal, securing their victory at 2-0.

Overall, it was a great effort by the Big Blue, but it was not enough against the defending champions. Andover looks forward to bouncing back against KUA on the road and we hope to have your support. Let's move forward with determination.
