Andover survives a tough challenge from Pike

Pike opened the game strong, having possession for most of the first half. There were many tense moments for the Andover defense, and no shots on goal. Luckily the first half ended with the score still tied at 0. An early goal in the second half came off of a breakaway, and a second followed in what may have been the best goal of the season, a great series of passes around the box and an excellent shot to finish. However, Pike responded with a goal of their own with about 10 minutes remaining. Pike kept up the offensive pressure and was rewarded when Andover was called for a hand-ball in the box. Thankfully the Andover keeper made an astonishing diving save to maintain the lead. A few minutes later, with Pike pressing up on offense, Andover had another breakaway and sealed up the game with a final goal just before the whistle.
