Another Win on the Road
Andover traveled to Lexington Christian Academy on a sunny Saturday, and while it took most of the game to find net, the team came away with 2-0 victory. It was a physical game and the teams battled for possession all the first half. Midway through the second, Cyrus Emami was taken down in the box and Daniel Matloff took the penalty and put Andover up 1-0. The field was in poor condition after such a dry fall, and it was a challenge to play the two-touch passing game favored by the team. Thankfully, the long ball was rewarded when center back Dustin Cho sent one of his 50-foot drives from our defensive end almost into the opposing net. When the LCA goalie could not handle the ball, Vendant Bajaj jumped on the rebound and deftly slipped the ball into the net for an insurance goal. The team remains undefeated and has 3 home games in the next 10 days—come out to see them play!
