Back-to-Back Battles: Big Blue Responds with Authority

After a difficult 4–0 road loss to Choate, Andover showed exactly the kind of resilience great teams are built on. Less than 48 hours later, Big Blue stormed back with a commanding 7–2 victory over North Reading, rediscovering their rhythm, intensity, and scoring touch. Diego Jing '29 led the response with a brilliant hat trick, while Heitor Maia '29 added two goals of his own through relentless pressure and sharp finishing. Owen McQuade '28 contributed two more, rounding out a dynamic attacking performance that kept North Reading on its heels from the opening whistle. Defensively, Andover tightened up across the back line, showing far more organization and composure than the day before. The midfield controlled the tempo, moved the ball with purpose, and consistently created high‑quality chances in transition. It was the kind of rebound that speaks to the group’s character — a willingness to absorb a setback, reset quickly, and play with conviction. Andover now looks ahead to its next challenge with renewed confidence and momentum.
