56 Best Times and an 18th-Peat

Andover, MA – For the first time, Andover and Exeter met for the annual swimming and diving meet with all the members of both programs competing simultaneously.



With the opening of the Christopher Lynn Pool at the Pan Athletic Center, Andover has been able to eliminate the official distinction between “varsity” and “junior varsity” and has all 45 members of the team training together while usually competing on different days with different teams. In 2024, we tried something different, and it was great.


The Andover Boys competed in two distinct competitions with Exeter, and won both behind a remarkable 56 best times.


Those achieving one or two best times: Andrew Cai ’27, Joshua Chang ’27, Oliver Feng ’25, Luke Francis ’25, Joao Gabriel Carreriro ’27, Vincent Giancola ’26, Philip Jeong ’27, Andrew Kim ’24, Linus Law ’24, Jeffery Lim ’27, Co-Captain Ashton Ma, Enrique Mercado ’27, Anthony Myers ’25, Sean Niu, David Porto ’26, Daniel Seong ‘25, William Sueling ’26, Matthew Truong ’27, Dean Vaitos ’27, Jay Wei ’27, Dean Yang ’27, Haoyu Zhang ’27, Andrew Zhou ’24, and Ethan Zhu ’26.


Jasjit Hargun ’27, Owen Huang ’27, Lucas Lee ’25, Andrew O’Meara ’24, and Albert Tsao ’25 each had three personal best times. And Cyrus Law ’27 had four!


Additional highlights of the meet included Andrew Kim’s 49.22 in the 100 Fly, shattering Arnold Su’s ’20 Meet Record of 50.38 from 2020.


Co-Captain Raphael Sibuet. In the 50 Free, Raphael established new School and Pool Records in 20.37. In the100 Free, Raphael established both Pool and Meet Records by swimming 45.09.


Finally, in the 400 Free Relay, Sibuet (45.09), Feng (47.28), Ma (47.72), and Kim (46.77) swam 3:06.86, demolishing the Meet Record of 3:09.29 set by Andover in 2023.
