Andover Drops Season Opener 9-12 at Hotchkiss

A stingy defense and a solid run game made for a close game Saturday at Hotchkiss. Running backs Jun An ’27 (9 carries 38 yards) and Ben Iglesias ’26 (9 carries 36 yards) kept the chains moving all afternoon with Nate Parker ’26 throwing an 8-yard TD pass to Will Mascena ’27 to get Andover on the board. Andover’s defense, led in tackles by Bennett Rodgers ’26 and Brock Feinberg ’26, held Hotchkiss’ rushing attack to 61 total yards on the day, limiting Hotchkiss’ scoring opportunities. The difference was a 43-yard field goal in the 4th quarter that put Hotchkiss ahead.
