Andover Drops Road Test at Brunswick

Andover received the opening kickoff and marched down the field to take an early 7-0 lead. Behind impressive blocking from the offensive line, Jun An ’27 carried the load on first drive, which he capped off with a 10-yard run for a touchdown (PAT Quentin Nicolasien ’27). The Andover defense forced Brunswick into a 3-and-out on the next possession, but an Andover turnover on the ensuing drive set up Brunswick’s first score. Brunswick’s passing attack warmed up, and the Bruins held a 7-28 lead halftime. Brunswick added two more touchdowns before Andover found the endzone again. Michael Vallarelli ’27 hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Landon Husereau ’28 (PAT Quentin Nicolasien ’27) to bring the score to 14-42. Andover got back on the board when Landon Husereau ’28 found Ubie Zaid ’27 on a crossing route that Zaid took 60 yards for the touchdown. Brunswick added a final touchdown to bring the final score to 21-49.

Andover moves to 3-3 on the season and hosts Deerfield next week.
