Big Blue topped Winchendon 5-2 on Saturday. Winchendon were the first to get on the board in the first when Rivera tripled, scoring two runs. Big Blue flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Falahee that drove in two. Fahey earned the win for Big Blue. The righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one. McCubrey started on the hill for Big Blue. The pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Wallingford stepped on the bump first for Winchendon. The starter surrendered one hit and two runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking two. Ulicny collected the save. Falahee drove the middle of the lineup, leading Big Blue with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Prior, Penn, Shampine, Callahan, and Falahee each collected one hit for Big Blue. Johnson and Rivera were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Winchendon while hitting back-to-back. Rivera went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Winchendon were sure handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Buckler had the most chances in the field with eight.
