Varsity Baseball Sweeps Deerfield with Pair of Shutout Wins
Andover swept a league doubleheader against visiting Deerfield Academy, winning the first game 8-0 and the second 2-0. Andover pitching limited Deerfield to just five hits on the day. Thomas White '23 earned the win in Game 1 with seven strikeouts in five shutout innings, before Cole Mascott '23 pitched a complete-game shutout in the nightcap. Trevor Grady '23 (pictured) smacked a two-run triple and CJ Egrie '22 doubled, singled, and plated a pair of runs in Game 1. Isaac Lamson '24 drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in Game 2, before Egrie stole home to cap the scoring.
