Big Blue took Saturday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Bridgton Academy. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when Callahan drew a walk, scoring one run. Big Blue got on the board in the first inning after Krystofolski singled, scoring one run. Big Blue committed an error, which helped Bridgton Academy tie the game at one in the top of the third. Bridgton Academy took the lead in the top of the fourth. Small doubled, scoring two runs, to give Bridgton Academy the advantage, 3-1. Penn singled down the left field line, which helped Phillips Academy Varsity Big Blue tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth. McCubrey earned the win for Big Blue. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking three. Kinney took the loss for Bridgton Academy. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, striking out none and walking two. Gilligan led things off on the hill for Big Blue. The hurler surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Genest started on the bump for Bridgton Academy. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. Fahey appeared in relief for Big Blue. Krystofolski led Big Blue with two hits in three at bats. Penn, Krystofolski, and Callahan each drove in one run for Phillips Academy Varsity Big Blue. Doherty stole two bases.
