(Atlanta,GA) – In his first rested competition since settling into a PhD program in Computational Science Engineering and Math at the University of Texas, Andover’s Andrew Wilson ’12 posted two monstrous times against the some of the top swimmers in the world.
In the prelims of the 200 Breaststroke, Wilson posted a 2:08.52, and in the final, and in the final, he swam 2:08.95 for the win over a field including Will Licon, Josh Prenot, Chase Kalisz, Nik Fink, Cody Miller, and Kevin Cordes.
Two days later, Wilson swam a blistering 59.19, his personal best, and he returned in the final with a 59.49 for the win over Prenot, Fink, Cordes, Licon, Miller, and Michael Andrew.
Both preliminary times are the 2nd-fastest performances in the world so far this year.
