Tam Gavenas '25 Wins XC National Championship
Senior XC captain Tam Gavenas crossed the finish line first at the Footlocker National Championship at 15:23.9 to earn the title of NATIONAL CHAMPION! This extraordinary accomplishment has been years in the making with so much support surrounding Tam on his journey. A special shout out to coach Patrick Reilly who has been there every stride of the way including at the finish line in Balboa Park, CA on Saturday.
Winter Season in Full Swing
Congratulations to Boys’ Varsity basketball coached by Terrell Ivory, Dan Schneider, & Malkese Edwards and captained by Xavier Abreu and Oli Ogueri who won their home opener, 51-50 versus Holderness!
Shout out to JV Boys’ Basketball, coached by Tom Kane and Andy Finch, who secured their first home-opening win on Wednesday versus Austin Prep. Thanks to Gene Hughes for your sideline support!
Congrats to boys’ varsity hockey coached by Paul Tortorella, Tedd Parker, and Patrick Pothel and captained by Grayden Robertson-Palmer, Peyton Militello, and Chas Sabre and on an impressive 3-2 home win versus Thayer Academy on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Rui Han netted two goals and goalie Chase Anderson ‘25 turned away 45 shots.
Shout out to our wrestling team coached by Kassie Bateman, Rich Gorham, Jason York, and Chip Dunn (seniors and coaches below) and captained by Dani Nugent, Julian Rios, and Eva Murphy who celebrated SENIOR NIGHT at their home-opener! So many great efforts including pins from Dani Nugent, Julian Rios, Brady Haskell, and Oliver Rogers.
