Nine Phillips Academy seniors gathered with their families, friends, teammates, and coaches in the Title IX room of the Snyder Center yesterday to celebrate the signing of their NCAA offers of an athletic scholarship, committing to continue their athletic careers at scholarship-granting institutions.

Yesterday, traditionally known as "National Signing Day", marked the first day of the academic year that student-athletes are permitted to sign their offers. Other Andover student-athletes may be signing at later dates.*

The Andover athletes who signed their athletic scholarships yesterday included a wrestler: Julian Rios '26 (Stanford University), a rower: Ainsley Muldoon '26 (Georgetown University), a soccer player: Wylie Roossien '26 (University of North Carolina), two field hockey players: Maren Boyle '26 (Boston College) & Lucy Parker '26 (Boston College), two ice hockey players: Lilly McInerney '26 (Northeastern University) & Sarah Powers (Boston College), and two lacrosse players: Charlotte Dorman '26 (College of the Holy Cross) & Scarlet Glass '26 (University of New Hampshire).

“We are pleased to recognize our nine seniors signing their athletic scholarships today. Of course, no one achieves anything alone and thus, we equally celebrate the parents, grandparents, siblings, coaches, friends, and teammates who play important roles in their achievement.”

Lisa Joel Director of Athletics

*Please Note: The NCAA Division 1 Ivy League and United States Service Academies do not offer athletic scholarships, nor do NCAA Division 3 institutions. In addition, many Andover student-athletes receive merit-based scholarships and are recruited to join teams at their colleges and universities. The Phillips Academy Athletic Department annually gathers each spring and celebrates the accomplishments of all of our student-athletes committed to continuing their athletic careers post-Andover.
