Congratulations to our two-time New England Prep School Boys’ Volleyball Association Champions. On Saturday afternoon, PAVB defended its NEPSBVA Championship against Phillips Exeter with a strong team performance that featured contributions from 10 seniors on the court! Standout stars included co-captain Ray Williams with 30 digs, co-captain Ajay Mistry with 30 assists on 63 sets, and Jeremy Woodley with 16 kills and 2 blocks. The boys’ volleyball team wraps up its season with an undefeated record. Thank you to our amazing coaches, Brendan Mackinson and Lorena Corbelli, as well as to athletic trainer Ashley Consolini.

Track & Field: This past Wednesday, our track team took on Concord Academy, Cushing Academy, and Cambridge School of Weston - and so too, less than ideal weather conditions with both the boys’ and girls’ teams emerging victorious!

Shout out to our coaches - many in their first or second year in our program: First-year Director of Track and Field Shalise Manza-Young, Tommy Valerio (year one), Ashley Dennis (year one), Kevin Ferrone (year two) Eric Edwards (year one), Andrew Cheng (year two), Jessica Hoffman (year one) AND veterans, Keri Lambert, John Rex, Rich Gorham and Chris Ishizuka-Wade. So too a special shout out to Nick Zufelt and Meghan Clarke, who put in MANY hours behind the scenes, and Director of Athletic Training Devin O’Reilly, who keeps them all on the road to peak performance.

The Andover boys' track and field team posted a dominating performance against Concord, Cushing, and Cambridge School of Weston, winning 9 of 10 running events plus two field events.

The 400m crew of Quentin Cynn '28 (52.56), Khimani Ndille (53.22), Teddy Heffernan '29 (53.79), Rayyan Siddiq '27 (55.82 personal best) & Alfonso Gonzalez Cano '27 (57.36) swept all five scoring spots. Similarly, PATF was 1-2-3-4 in the 3000m: Cam Butler '28 (9:46.69 personal best) won the race, with Devin Akyali '29 (9:47.23 personal best), Robert Budzinski '26 (10:02.58) and Aaron Blanchard '28 (10:09.32) also claiming points. Andover claimed top spots in numerous other events: Kishan Clarke '26 won the 100m (11.40); Tyler Baty '27 led a 1-2-3 finish in the 200m (23.59); Tiger Wang '29 won the 800m (2:07.16 personal best); Isaac Owodunni '27 won the 110m hurdles (16.25 personal best); Lincoln Tomlinson '27 was first in 300m hurdles (45.50); Lucien Herndon '28 was tops in high jump (5'4); Bennett Rodgers '26 won triple jump (40'8.75 personal best) The 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams were also winners.

On the girls’ side...the team won big with a score of 161, followed by Concord Academy with 71 points. Big Blue runners took the top four spots in the 400m, with Eden Dunleavy '29 leading the way (58.14); Ela Budzinski '28 (58.60), Lauren Signoriello '27 (59.84), and Sienna DeAngelis '27 (1:01.45 personal best) finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Andover went 1-2-3 in the 3000m thanks to Amelia Alvazzi '26 (10:14.50), Anya Budzinski '26 (10:34.55 personal best), and Corinne Spade '27 (10:40.36 personal best), and had top 2 finishes in both the 100m and 200m. In the 100, Christie Appau '27 and Veronica Lewis '27 each ran to new personal bests (13.73 and 13.75, respectively), and Julie Chan '27 (26.28) and Michelle Onyeka (26.30) finished ahead of the pack in the 200. Other individual winners were: Murathime Daisley '26 in the 800m (2:24.37), Gracie Aziabor '26 in shot put (29'6), Kai Mafunga in discus (87'2), Sienna DeAngelis in high jump (4'6), and Caitlin Ly '27 in long jump (17'5 personal best).

Crew closed out their regular season with home races against Exeter and Tabor at the William Brown Boathouse. Congrats to all rowers and coaches on a great day, with a special shout-out to our girls’ team, who went undefeated on the day, securing the Daniel T. Swift Trophy! Captains Caroline Romano and Willow Wright lead the way!
