Baseball America named Travis Lane ’18 its No. 10 prospect from the state of Massachusetts among players eligible for the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft. A four-year starter on the mound and at first base, Lane – who’ll play collegiately at Boston College – led Andover to Central New England Prep Championships in 2016 and 2018 and was a three-time First-Team All-Central New England Prep selection. His senior season was particularly strong, finishing 8-1 on the mound, while pacing the offense with 17 RBIs, as Andover finished 20-2, winning its fourth Central New England Prep Championship in the last four years, and finishing the year ranked No. 1 in New England according to the New England Baseball Journal’s year-end coaches poll.
