6/20/20 – Each year, the Andover Boys’ Swimming & Diving Team enters the National Dual Meet competition sponsored by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA).

In the annual competition, times achieved in the season are converted to points. Using the entry limitations for high school competition, teams create line-ups to maximize the number of points, and then total team points are compared across schools. Andover has placed among the Top 25 independent school programs in the nation each year since 2006. In 2019, Andover placed 3rdnationally among independent schools and 4th nationally among all high schools, independent and public.

This year in the midst of the Pandemic, NISCA sponsored “May Madness” in which schools put together the best line-up in history, using any athlete who ever competed. As is the norm, times were converted to points, which created seeds for a bracket tournament of a single-elimination, head-to-head competition.
