Big Blue downs Big Green in first away contest in 2 years for Andover

Andover had an incredible game against Deerfield on Saturday in a solid 19-5 win.

Defensively, Lulu Rourke '23 was a powerhouse, with 5 caused turnovers and 6 ground ball controls. Goalie Kennedy Everson '21 made 7 spectacular saves, only letting a couple shots slide past in each half. Isabela Miller '21 and Tory Rider '22 had six goals apiece, leading the team’s offense. Additionally, Gwyn Lapp '22 set up 5 assists (as well as two goals herself) creating scoring opportunities left and right. Andover’s offensive attack focused on teamwork and 12 out of 19 of goals were assisted. The key to PA’s success was the team’s winning and placement of draw controls, making it so Deerfield never had a good opportunity to maintain possession. Andover is hoping to keep the momentum going into next Friday’s game against Worcester.
