Andover Nordic not as strong in Holderness

Andover Nordic travelled to Holderness for a 5k classic league race. With some illness, limited practice time on snow in the past weeks, and a short turnaround between waxing and race time, the team wasn't able to collectively perform as well as they had in previous races. The Boys team placed 5th overall led by captain Eli Newell in 6th and Sam Gallaudet in 9th place. Remy de Saint Phalle was next in 35th and the Andover scoring was finished out by Henry Hearle in 41st. Sam Capobianco (48th), Tyler Yung (50th), Samson Zhang (59th), Harry Whitman (60th), Nico von Eckartsburg (61), and Jeremy Zhou (66) were the other boys in the race.

The girls finished in 6th overall with some key racers missing. They were led by Claire de Saint Phalle in 12th, captain Posie Millett in 17th, Christina Li (36), and Hannah Justicz (39). Kate Pfister had a solid race, but took a wrong turn and went down as DNF.

Both teams hope for a strong performance at the skate sprints this upcoming wednesday.
