Nordic Skiing CV at Putney

Andover season off to good start at Putney

8 of Andover's top skiers headed to Putney to compete in an opener meet. The boys were up first on the almost 5k course and co-captain Eli Newell '20 led the way with a 5th place finish while newcomer Sam Gallaudet '23 placed 6th just 4 seconds back. Remy de Saint Phalle '23 also had a good first race for Andover finishing in 13th place out of a field of 28 skiers.

The girls race saw Claire de Saint Phalle '21 finish in 7th place in a close field. Co-captain Posie Millett '20 finished in 14th place followed a second later by Kate Pfister '21 in 15th place. Nikita Muromcew '21 was in 19th place and Christina Li '21 finished in 22nd place out of a field of 30 skiers.

Next week Andover begins the race season in earnest with a full league race at Proctor.
