Newcomers help lead Andover Boys A to victory against St. Paul’s

Playing short-handed today against visiting St. Paul’s, the Andover Boys A team pulled out a 5-2 victory to move to a 4-0 record to start the season. Juniors Avery Zheng ‘25 and Kevin Niu ‘25 led the charge, with an 8-2 victory together at #2 doubles before each rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 win at singles at #3 and #4, respectively. Upper William Boo ‘23 also grabbed two victories, first teaming up with Lower Harry Murphy ‘24 to secure the doubles point with an 8-3 win, and then winning at #6 singles 6-3, 6-1 to secure the team win. Playing at #2 singles, Co-captain Alex Zhu ‘23 rounded off the afternoon with a comeback victory to give Andover a 5-2 team win.
