Big Blue Shout Outs

Endless gratitude to all of our coaches, members of our athletic department, sports medicine team, OPP/grounds crew, and student-athletes who keep adapting and adjusting to a “spring” season that has largely been defined by rain and cold. This less-than-ideal weather scenario creates circumstances, day-to-day, whereby practice and game schedules are constantly changing. We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and hopefulness that better weather days are ahead.

Congrats to all three of our girls’ tennis teams - Varsity A coached by Katy Lambson, Varsity B coached by Dan Burke and JV coached by Talia Natoli for each securing home wins on Wednesday afternoon. Varsity B and JV had their season openers - and for our coaches, their first Andover “career” victory in the role of head coach. Varsity A, captained by Amy Oku & Lena Cigar-Albeniz, captured their first “sweep” of the season, 7-0 v. Austin Prep.

Thank you to athletic trainer Devin O’Reilly who supported both teams throughout the night.

On Saturday night, girls’ Varsity Tennis traveled to the Wellesley Country Club to play The Winsor School - another 5-hour plus match - AND another Big Blue victory! Both our boys’ & girls’ Varsity A tennis teams remain undefeated.
