At home on October 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM
The girls’ JV1 soccer team took to the field on an unusual Sunday and secured their ninth win of the season.
We started off the game quickly with a mind-blowing point-blank save from goalie Caroline Rothmann ’22 and an exhilarating first goal from Athalia Esty ’22 in the second minute. Assisted by Lillie Cooper ’22, she dominated the field with style and ease, almost repeating her goal less than two minutes later. She missed her second attempt, but came back strong in the eleventh minute to put another point on the board for Andover.
In the 30th minute, Eliza Dow ’22 scored our World-Cup worthy third goal. Kennedy Smith ’22 executed a breath-taking play three minutes later, scoring the most spectacular fourth goal ever witnessed in soccer as her first of the season.
With her unbelievable agility and outstanding ninja-like soccer abilities, Bruna Cincurá ’20 scored the final goal, pushing Andover’s score to five points.
We ended the game with a shut-out of 5-0 thanks to our MVP, Caroline Rothmann ’22, who made 4 sensational saves.
(Thanks to Jess “Scotty” Scott for another AWESOME highlight!)
