Phillips Academy’s softball team is one of the most competitive programs in New England and holds a long tradition of promoting effort, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. The varsity schedule includes a spring training trip to Florida, a challenging slate of both public and private school opponents, and an eight-team, two-day invitational tournament which Andover co-hosts on the third weekend in May.

While our teams have had great success on the field, accumulating a .746 winning percentage (469-160), the accomplishments of players on those teams has not stopped there. Graduates have gone on to play collegiate softball at all levels, and they have earned individual honors, captained their teams, and participated in NCAA postseason play. Currently, alumnae are playing softball at Claremont McKenna, Columbia, Cornell, MIT, Trinity (CT), Tufts, and Providence College. Our graduates also continue to star in other college sports, including basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, rowing, and soccer. Athletic achievements, however, are only a small part of the experience we hope to foster as part of Phillips Academy softball. In addition to developing individual skills, there is a strong focus on team building, hard work, and having fun. Our coaches are experienced, committed, and eager to teach our talented student-athletes in all aspects of the game.

Lastly, we strongly recommend that all interested softball players fill out the prospective student-athlete form on the main athletics webpage. We look forward to sharing our softball program with you!
