At Green Farms on February 16, 2019 at 9:00 AM

Three Big Blue wrestlers earned top-8 finishes to lead Andover to an 11th place finish among the 44 competing teams at the NE Prep wrestling tournament. Assistant Kassie Archambault was named Assistant Coach of the Year.

Co-captain Eamon Garrity-Rokous' third place performance at 152 pounds paced the Big Blue to strong performance at the New England Independent Schools Wrestling Association Tournament held at Greens Farms Academy Feb 15-16. Vinny Marino placed 4th at 132lb and co-captain Pablo Sanchez finished 8th at 182. It was Garrity-Rokous' third career New England medal and Sanchez's second. The Blue scored 58.5 points to place 11th in the 44-team field, ahead of several teams that defeated them during the regular season. All nine Big Blue entries represented Andover well, including Ramphis Medina '19 and veteran Jack O'Neil '19. Both Garrity-Rokous '20 and Marino '19 qualified to compete at the Prep national tournament next weekend at Lehigh University, with Sanchez '19 an alternate. Four other Phillips underclassmen - Arnav Bhakta '22, Riggs McGrath '21, Nick Buehler '21, and Calvin Yang '21 - participated in the tournament and gained valuable experience. Phillips assistant coach Kassie Archambault was named New England Prep Assistant Coach of the Year. Check out full results at
