Big Blue goes 2-1 at Seabrooke Duals

The Big Blue wrestlers concluded their dual meet season by going 2-1 at the Seabrooke Duals at Exeter, losing to the host school, but defeating Avon Old Farms and Long Island Lutheran. On to the tournament season!
The Big Blue wrestlers concluded their dual meet season by going 2-1 at the Seabrooke Duals held at Phillips Exeter on Saturday. In the first meet of the day Andover took on their arch-rivals from Exeter, and were soundly defeated by a very good Exeter team, 58-18. Haroldo Nesbeth came from behind to win 6-4 over a quality opponent in the best match of the meet. Next up was the Avon Old Farms Winged Beavers, and Andover emerged victorious, 54-18. Nesbeth won another good match, 4-2, and the Blue got pins from Eamon Garrity-Rokous, Connor Haugh, Pierce Bausano, Adam Cohen and John O’Brien, plus a gritty 3-2 decision from Pablo Sanchez. In their final dual of the day, the Blue defeated Long Island Lutheran, 57-21, getting six pins, from Garrity-Rokous, Will Baxter-Bray, Dan Levine, John O’Brien, Nesbeth and Jack O’Niell and a 10-8 win by Nick Masri. Nesbeth, Cohen and O’Brien all went 3-0 on the day. In exhibition matches, Julian Colvin and Noble Ohakam each picked up vistories by pin. Andover ends the dual meet season with a record of 11-4, and 6-3 in the Class A league. Now the tournament season begins, starting with the Female Tournament at home on Sunday, followed by the Northern New England tournament next Saturday at Hyde-CT.
