The Phillips Academy ultimate team finished in 2nd place at the New England Prep School Ultimate League (NEPSUL) championship tournament Saturday at Northfield Mount Hermon School. The team went 1-1 in pool play, losing to Hotchkiss (3-10) and beating the Wooster School (9-6). In the semifinal game, Andover beat Northfield Mount Hermon in a hard fought game that went to the hard time cap (10-9).  Andover met Hotchkiss again in the finals and lost 6-11. This was the fourth time Andover and Hotchkiss have faced each other in the finals in the 16-year history of the tournament.

At ultimate tournaments, each team assigns their opponent a Spirit of the Game (SOTG) score at the end of the game, based on their opponent's knowledge of the rules, their ability to self officiate, and their overall sportsmanship.  Andover won the SOTG award, receiving the highest average score from their opponents out of the 17 teams at the tournament.  This was the 6th time PA has won the SOTG award in the 16-year history of the tournament.
