Varsity Baseball Improves to 13-0 with Doubleheader Sweep at Deerfield

Andover scored 34 runs in a doubleheader sweep at league-rival Deerfield, improving to 13-0 after winning the first game 17-1 and the second 17-2.

Penney '21 Andover's offense erupted for 34 hits on the day, led by JACK PENNEY '21 (pictured) and Lucas Stowe '20, who went 3-for-4 and 4-for-5, respectively, in the opener, and Jackson Emus '19, who pounded out three hits in Game 2. Peter Ling '20, Andrew Ciufo '19, Tristan Latham '19, L.J. Keevan '21, and Jack Palfrey '21 each added multiple-hit games to help pace the attack.

Keevan and Sam Rosenfield '21 took the mound in Game 1 and limited Deerfield to just three hits. Jacob Lapp '21, Jonathan Santucci '21, Sam Richards '19, Sebastian Mexico '21, and Emus teamed up on the mound in Game 2.

With the pair of wins, defending champ Andover clinched the No. 1 seed in the Central New England Prep Championship Tournament, to be played on Saturday, May 18 at Brown University.
